KFT Konzepte has launched an industry initiative around the Volumetric Neutron Source (VNS), bringing together strong interest from across the industrial sector.
Initiated by our CEO Clemens Kuehner, this European consortium aims to engage industrial stakeholders at an early stage to jointly explore future partnership models and realization structures for this strategic European facility — building on existing industrial capabilities and infrastructure.
A big thank you to EUROfusion and its VNS Chief Engineer Christian Bachmann for sharing key insights on system requirements and industrial opportunities.
The response has been highly encouraging: first Letters of Intent have already been signed, with additional participation confirmed. KFT Konzepte is also in exchange with various national ministries to consolidate industrial interest as a basis for potential public support.
A particularly compelling aspect of the VNS concept is its dual-use perspective: combining fusion technology development with radioisotope production, creating both technological and commercial value.
Companies from the fusion, energy, and radiopharmaceutical sectors are already participating.

Companies can still become early partners. While participation will remain open, early partners will have the greatest opportunity to help shape the direction and structure of the initiative from the outset.
